Splitting Self

 Tall As a Wall
 
Some fear built up,

​Now it is tall and wavering over my head 

 like a tree branch held up only by its' 

sturdier counterparts 
​​
It looms...                 

                 d i s c o n n e c t e d  

​                                        from the tree.

          and one day...the wind will blow,

               and the branch will  let go,
       
                  and I hope no one happens to be underneath. 



     Perhaps with this knowledge, I could prevent such a fall!

     Perhaps if I prepared,
               
                                    the fall wouldn't have to happen at all.

      Perhaps what seemed like the

​                                                             f a r t h e s t 

 crawl

                             was quite small after all

                                     Maybe one thing between a

                                              graceful landing,

                                                                   and a dubious fall.

                                                                                     is the fear built up, 
                             
                                                                                                                            Tall as a Wall.
